Los Tres Gallos stands as a vibrant beacon of authentic Mexican cuisine nestled in the heart of Cabo San Lucas’ Centro district. Situated at Leona Vicario esquina, 20 de Noviembre, this restaurant invites diners on a rich culinary journey that feels intensely personal—almost as if you’ve wandered into the warm, inviting courtyard of a beloved Mexican grandmother, whose cooking carries generations of tradition, but with an elevated, almost Michelin-star flair.
The menu at Los Tres Gallos is a celebration of Mexico’s diverse flavors and textures. Begin your meal with the classic, ever-satisfying Chips and Salsa or the creamy, freshly made Guacamole that teases your palate for what’s to come. The star of the show for many is the Mole Con Pollo, a velvety, deeply complex sauce that coats tender chicken, delivering a flavor so robust and nuanced it feels like a revelation—Mark Little’s praise rings true here, describing it as “plotting to ruin all future moles for you.” The Chicken Enchiladas Verdes offer a tangy, mildly spiced counterpart, perfect for those who appreciate a lighter but still richly satisfying dish.
For seafood lovers, the Shrimp, Lobster, and Scallop Tacos and Seafood Tacos bring the ocean’s bounty fresh to the table, bursting with vibrant flavors and expertly balanced seasonings that dance on the tongue. Meanwhile, the Molcajete serves up a sizzling, hearty combination of meats and chiles, ideal for sharing and experiencing the robust spirit of Mexican communal dining.
Meat enthusiasts must try the Lamb Shank, a comforting dish where every bite melts in the mouth, and the Chile Relleno, a classic stuffed pepper that delivers warmth and complexity.
The beverage program is equally compelling, with the Hibiscus Margarita offering a floral twist on a beloved classic—dangerously good, as more than one guest has confessed. This is not a place to merely eat; it’s a sensory celebration where every element from ambiance to the expertly crafted dishes and drinks come together to create an unforgettable experience.
Atmosphere here is enchanting. The upstairs dining area, with its unique trees growing through the floors, brings a touch of nature indoors, adding an element of rustic charm and magic. Service is warm, knowledgeable, and attentive—servers like Enrique, Oscar, and Issac guide you through the menu with genuine passion and make every visit feel special and well-cared for.
Guests consistently express their delight in finding Los Tres Gallos, calling it a “gem” and a culinary highlight of their Cabo visit. Whether it’s savoring the perfectly seasoned Pozole, indulging in crispy Churros and rich Tres Leches Cake for dessert, or simply soaking up the lively yet intimate ambiance, this restaurant promises a memorable taste of Mexico that resonates long after your last bite.
In essence, Los Tres Gallos is more than just a meal—it’s a heartfelt tribute to Mexican heritage and a sensory escape for anyone lucky enough to dine here. For those seeking authentic, expertly prepared dishes paired with a unique, warm atmosphere and exemplary service, this is an absolute must-visit in Cabo San Lucas.

If you come to Cabo and don’t eat at Los Tres Gallos, did you even really come to Cabo? This place feels like you stumbled into your Mexican grandmother’s courtyard (if your grandmother also had a Michelin star and a tequila bar hidden out back). The mole sauce alone deserves its own passport — rich, velvety, and plotting to ruin all future moles for you. The margaritas? Dangerous in the best way. You’ll sip one, blink twice, and suddenly think you can salsa dance (spoiler: you cannot, but no one here will judge). Service is like being adopted by a new family — warm, fast, and somehow they know when you’re ready for another round before you do. Los Tres Gallos isn’t a restaurant; it’s a love letter to Mexican food, sealed with tequila and sent express delivery to your taste buds
Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Cabo! The ambience of the upstairs with the trees growing up through the floors was pretty cool. Enrique and Oscar were our servers and they were nothing short of great, tour guiding us through the menu of food specials and drink options. I can’t wait to visit again!
The food was delicious! I had started off with the empanadas and the chicken and pork were so good! Both were so flavorful and the meat wasn’t dry at all, which I was happy about. The Enchiladas Verdes was pretty good, though they don’t serve you a big portion. I think they could have used some more seasoning and spices but it was still good. I’m happy they have big fans outside because it was really hot while eating.
Randomly stumbled upon Los Tres Gallos on OpenTable and boy, my family and I are so happy I did! We absolutely loved our entire experience. The Empanadas were our appetizer and it was probably the least favorite thing of the night, BUT everything else was amazing. The Mole - both enchilada and chicken thigh were THE BEST EVER! Oh man, I licked my bowl clean. The Pork Shank was a little dry, but the flavor was there regardless. The Chile Relleno was very very tasty! The Pineapple Margarita was so fresh and smooth. The Cornbread for dessert is an absolute MUST. Wow! Just incredible. The atmosphere was lovely, the place felt clean, open, airy and beautiful. We now have a new must visit restaurant when we visit Cabo.
Have heard about Tres Gallos many of times, tried the one in San Jose de Cabo and finally here tonight. What a gem! Food was delicious, service impeccable and ambiance breathless! Our server was Issac who made sure we were well taken care of and very attentive. I took his recommendation for the fresh fish (Totoaba) and so glad I did. Hubby had the fall-off the bone carnitas and he's still raving. We wanted traditional Mexican food and so pleasantly surprised. We will be back, not soon enough! Wish I had taken pictures of food to a share
The BEST margaritas I’ve EVER had!! The food is authentic and would highly recommend it for anyone. Note that it is also a Michelin recommended restaurant!
This place is phenomenal; each and everything put in front of us, including the chips and salsa, left us dumbfounded with the ultimate flavors and service to match. The waiters and hostess were very warm and mentioned that the night time brings even better digestion and memories paired with live entrainment. My girlfriend and I were grateful and plan on coming back when the time is right. I enjoyed my molé greatly.
